David Langer is a serial entrepreneur from London, England. In 2012, David founded stealth startup Hasty, which aims to solve a significant problem for consumers across the world.
Previously, David was the CEO and co-founder of GroupSpaces, which he started from his dorm room at Oxford University in 2007. Today GroupSpaces is the world’s leading way to manage a group online, supporting over 3 million group memberships in over 100 countries.
While at Oxford, David received an honours degree in Mathematics from St. Anne’s College and was awarded 2nd place in the UK Graduate of the Year competition for achievements throughout his student career. In addition to setting up GroupSpaces, these included receiving the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award, an Explorer Award for conservation work from the John Muir Trust and being selected as one of FreshMinds Ones to Watch™ for the future. David also presided over the motor racing and table tennis clubs at the University.
When not working on his own startups, David is passionate about encouraging more young people to start companies and follow lean startup principles to achieve success. He is currently a mentor at Seedcamp and an advisor to Codility, Entrepreneur First and The Kernel.
Outside of business, David is an avid motor racer, skier, road cyclist, table tennis and pool player, drum n bass music fan and CrossFit athlete.
